President Obama is expected to issue an executive order that will expand overtime rules for salaried employees. The executive order may affect thousands of salaried workers that work more than 40 hours a week without overtime pay. The Fair Labor Standards Act currently only guarantees overtime pay to salaried workers if they earn less than $455 per week. Its unclear at this point how much more the threshold will be from its current weekly level.
